Estate 14k Yellow Gold Onyx and Seed Pearl Floral Pendant, Victorian Stick Pin Conversion

This pendant began as a Victorian stick pin and was converted to a pendant by Nelson Coleman Jewelers. Crafted in 14k yellow gold, the original floral design features eight teardrop shaped onyx petals arranged in a swirling pinwheel pattern, each framed with fine milgrain gold detailing. A 2mm round seed pearl sits at the center, and polished gold beads accent the outer edge. The pendant measures 3/4 inch and weighs 1.4 grams. No chain included.

Onyx and seed pearls were a favored pairing in Victorian jewelry, with the deep black stone setting off the soft glow of the pearl. Stick pins of the period were worn on cravats and lapels, and floral motifs like this one were among the most popular designs.
