Ammolite is a rare organic gemstone formed from the fossilized shells of ammonites, ancient marine creatures that lived millions of years ago. It is found commercially in only one area of the world, along the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains in Alberta, Canada, and is prized for its vivid, shifting iridescence. The asymmetrical freeform shape lets the stone’s natural color patterns take center stage, while the cascade of diamonds adds a modern, sparkling accent.
