The Bulova company was started in 1875 and has continuously earned respect in the watchmaking industry for its dedication to innovation and precision. The first Accutron watch was made in 1960 and the name is a portmanteau of “ACCUracy through ElecTRONic.” It used innovative technology pioneered by engineer Max Hetzel, allowing for exceptional precision in timekeeping.
This estate Bulova Accutron is a 1977 edition and is crafted from silver-tone stainless steel. The creamy silver-tone dial features a three-hand movement, minimalist hour and minute markers, and a date window. The dial also features luminous dots at each hour and luminous hour and minute hands.
