Estate 14K Yellow Gold 9x13MM Oval Lapis Lazuli Vintage Stud Earrings

Crafted in 14kt yellow gold, these vintage stud earrings each feature an oval cabochon lapis lazuli measuring 13 x 9mm, held in a smooth bezel and framed by a wide, polished gold border. The deep blue stones show natural variation in tone with fine veining throughout. The earrings measure 13/16 x 5/8 inch, weigh 3.9 grams total, and are finished with butterfly backs. They are stamped 14K.

Lapis lazuli has been prized for thousands of years for its intense blue color, and was once ground into powder to make ultramarine, one of the most valued pigments used by painters. Its name comes from the Latin lapis, meaning stone, and the Persian lazhward, meaning blue. Paired with the warm, polished gold frames, the stones make a classic combination that works well for both everyday wear and dressier occasions.

A lovely addition for collectors of vintage gold jewelry, these lapis studs make a thoughtful gift for anyone who loves rich color and timeless design.
